As part of Nawroz University’s commitment to strengthening students’ practical and field-based skills and linking academic programs with legal practice, the Department of Law at the College of Law and Political Science conducted a practical lecture for fifth-year students on Monday, October 19, 2026.
The lecture addressed the mechanisms for implementing and the provisions of the Law on Combating Domestic Violence No. (8) of 2011, in force in the Kurdistan Region. It was delivered by Major Legal Officer Nihad Ali Mohammed, Director of Legal Affairs at the Directorate for Combating Domestic Violence in Duhok Governorate.
