College of Law and Politics started its mission in the academic year of 2004-2005. The College's teaching staff works as one team in preparing and training students during the year of study, so that after successfully completing them, the student is awarded a bachelor's degree in their fields. Each department has its unique module. First, the Department of Law is concerned with building and developing legal knowledge among its students from a theoretical and practical stand-point. The duration of study in this department is five years (annual system). Second, the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, which is based on the Bologna system, divided into eight semesters, one of the most important pillars of this department is to be a leading center in producing knowledge and leaders capable of understanding and keeping pace with various political phenomena (local, regional and international), and understanding the theoretical and philosophical foundations of political science and international relations. In a way that serves to build a solid culture among the student and serves the national interests in the Kurdistan Region, which needs more than ever young skills and leaders in the political and diplomatic field
