Nawroz University President Meets U.S. Public Diplomacy Officials to Explore Academic Cooperation Opportunities

During his visit to Washington, D.C., the President of Nawroz University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mevan Arif Abdulrahman, met with Ms. Kim Strollo, Cultural, Educational and Media Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil, in the presence of Ms. Sindhu Chidambaram, Deputy Cultural, Educational and Media Affairs Officer, and Mr. Reving Mizory, Senior Higher Education Advisor at the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil, who continues to support initiatives aimed at strengthening academic and educational cooperation between American institutions and higher education institutions in the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for academic and cultural cooperation between Nawroz University and American educational institutions. Discussions also addressed academic exchange opportunities, professional development and training programmes, and initiatives that could support students and academic staff while further strengthening the University's international engagement.

The two sides also discussed ways to enhance communication and cooperation between Nawroz University and U.S. educational and cultural institutions, as well as potential areas of collaboration in academic, scientific, and cultural fields of mutual interest.

Both parties emphasized the importance of maintaining dialogue and cooperation to develop sustainable partnerships that contribute to academic excellence and internationalisation. The meeting reflects Nawroz University's ongoing efforts to expand its global network and strengthen its ties with leading educational institutions in the United States and beyond.
