Dr. Yaser Hassan Ali, a lecturer at Nawroz University- College of Languages, will participate in the International Conference on Kurdish Studies hosted by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in London, United Kingdom, from 29 April to 1 May 2026, with the participation of researchers and academics from various international universities and institutions.
Dr. Yaser Hassan Ali, who also teaches at University of Duhok, will present a research paper entitled: “Decentring Sorani Kurdish in Iraq: The Rise of Bahdinani in Translation”
The paper explores cultural and linguistic transformations in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, focusing on the growing role of Bahdinani Kurdish in translation and its impact on reshaping linguistic and cultural dynamics within Kurdish literary discourse.
This participation reflects Nawroz University’s commitment to strengthening its international academic presence and expanding cooperation with global academic institutions.
