College of Law and Politics
College of Law and Politics started its mission in the academic year of 2004-2005. The College's teaching staff works as one team in preparing and training students during the year of study, so that after successfully completing them, the student is awarded a bachelor's degree in their fields. Each department has its unique module. First, the Department of Law is concerned with building and developing legal knowledge among its students from a theoretical and practical stand-point. The duration of study in this department is five years (annual system). Second, the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, which is based on the Bologna system, divided into eight semesters, one of the most important pillars of this department is to be a leading center in producing knowledge and leaders capable of understanding and keeping pace with various political phenomena (local, regional and international), and understanding the theoretical and philosophical foundations of political science and international relations. In a way that serves to build a solid culture among the student and serves the national interests in the Kurdistan Region, which needs more than ever young skills and leaders in the political and diplomatic field
College of Administration and Economics
College of Administration and Economics is considered an extension of the Department of Economics that was established as a part of Duhok University College in 2004. Currently, the College consists of six scientific departments, which are; Dept. of Economics, Dept. of Business Administration, Dept. of Banking and Finance Sciences, and Dept. of Accountancy, Dept. of Tourism Sciences, and the Dept. of Electronic marketing. The college also performs various scientific activities, as well as the academic activities in higher education, such as providing various scientific advisory community and economic feasibility studies, in addition to sponsoring conferences, seminars, symposia and workshops throughout the year. The academic staff of college have participated in issuing various reports and research in collaboration with international organizations. The faculty staff are composed of various scientific degrees with different specialization that covers requirements of teaching and scientific research.
College of Science

Over the years, the College has expanded its academic breadth and infrastructure, now encompassing four specialized departments: Computer Science, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Multimedia & Graphics Design, and physiotherapy. Through this multi-disciplinary structure, the College provides diverse learning pathways that respond to regional needs and global scientific trends. The College’s identity is grounded in its commitment to offering high-quality scientific education that integrates theoretical foundations with practical application. This is reflected in its modern laboratories, advanced instrumentation, and dynamic learning environments supporting programming, artificial intelligence, diagnostics, multimedia design, and other contemporary fields. College of Languages
The College of Languages is a dynamic academic hub located at Nawroz University in Duhok, dedicated to the study, practice, and appreciation of linguistics and psychology. It serves as a bridge between local cultural heritage and global engagement, fostering an environment of critical inquiry and intercultural awareness. The college currently consists of six specialized departments: Kurdish Language, Translation , English Language, Kurdnasi (Kurdish Studies), Psychology and Media. The curriculum is designed to be student-centered and is regularly updated to meet contemporary global trends and labor market demands.
College of Engineering
The College of Engineering at Nawroz University was established in July 2013, it includes four departments which are the Dept. of Computer and Communications Engineering, the Dept. of Software & AI Engineering, the Dept. of Architecture Engineering, and the Dept. of Civil Engineering. The College of Engineering aims to be one of the most distinguished and pioneered colleges locally, regionally, and internationally. It competes honorably with its counterparts in other universities in the Region. This college aims at graduating engineering staff who have high understanding and knowledge, are psychologically prepared, academically and practically distinguished, and possess the ethics of the engineering profession.
College of Dentistry
The College of Dentistry at Nawroz University is a landmark addition to the university’s academic offerings. Established in <strong>2024</strong>, it is the <strong>first dental college to be opened within a private university in Duhok Governorate</strong>, reflecting the university’s commitment to expanding into essential medical fields that serve community needs.</p> <p>The College is dedicated to preparing skilled dental professionals through modern academic programs and internationally aligned curricula. Supported by <strong>advanced infrastructure</strong>, including specialized laboratories and state-of-the-art clinical training facilities, it offers students a comprehensive learning experience that combines theory with hands-on practice.</p> <p>Looking ahead, the College aims to develop active partnerships with local and international health and academic institutions, enhancing opportunities for clinical training, research, and professional development. Admission is open to students in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region.
College of Pharmacy
The College of Pharmacy is one of the newest academic units at Nawroz University, established in <strong>2024</strong> with the goal of strengthening the healthcare sector by preparing professionally and scientifically qualified pharmacists in line with accredited academic standards. <p>The College offers a comprehensive educational program covering clinical pharmacy, community pharmacy, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and drug regulation. Students are trained through <strong>modern curricula</strong> that integrate theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in well-equipped pharmaceutical laboratories.</p> <p>The College of Pharmacy provides a dynamic learning environment, encourages scientific research and lifelong learning, and aims to build partnerships with local and international healthcare and pharmaceutical institutions. It is firmly committed to improving public health by graduating competent professionals who meet the needs of both the community and the labor market.</p>
